This 7.2 acre design-build structure contains a NYC parks and recreation facility sited on the rooftop of a two-story parking structure. The parking facility services the new adjacent Yankee Stadium. The Park features community minded amenities including synthetic surface football / soccer field, a running track, basketball and handball courts. Bleacher seating for 600 is being provided to the west of the field with comfort station/field house for restrooms and storage nearby. A fitness circuit is found in the southern portion of the park with nearby access to misting stations and drinking fountains. The perimeter of the rooftop park is in large part enclosed by landscape planters buffering the park from the active streetscape beyond. Landscape elements have been carefully considered to enhance view corridors and to provide for a diverse mix of ornamental deciduous material and herbaceous groundcovers and shrubs.
 

Project Involvement: Created plan and section elevation renderings that were presented to the New York City Parks Department (NYCDPR) for approval, created, coordinated, and compiled final package for submission to NYCDPR, brainstormed with project leads for structural soil and green roof techniques​
